Basically...

jaws (journalists, artists, writers, students) is an independent English magazine founded by students (with the help of university lecturer Sarah Mercer) at the English and American Studies Department of the Karl Franzens-Universität in 2000. It is being published twice a year, at the beginning of summer and winter term, respectively.
   Content ranges from essays, poems, reviews, interviews, short stories, comments about travelling / living abroad to photos and cartoons. Our contributors consist mainly of students and lecturers of the English Department, but of course everybody else is free to read jaws!

We are proud to offer a platform for fellow journalists, artists, writers and students. But above all we are proud to say that all profits made from the magazine sale go to the Steirische Kinderkrebshilfe (click here for their Website).
